Paul Mathew Winemakers Dinner Dec. 9, 2007

Ruxton Vineyard

George Ruxton and his 2 younger brothers inherited property on the top of Harrison Grade overlooking Sebastopol & Santa Rosa. This beautiful site has been a great addition to the PMV vineyard designate program of which the Ruxtons were happy to see their grapes entitled to. George was always our main contact and thrived on taking care of the property and being in the know of what and who his grapes were seeing. Arriving at the winery to search for the "Ruxton" Barrels was a thrilling site to him. To say he was proud would not be telling the extent of it. I enjoyed him like my own grandfather. His wife Gail has always been the means to support knowing that George loved the grounds of his heritage. We would like to honor the memory of George Ruxton along with his wife Gail & his brothers by remembering this dear soul for allowing us the designate "Ruxton" on our label.
To George Ruxton
