Vineyards

The TNT 2 acre vineyard was planted in 1999 and 2000 with clones 114, 115, 667 and 777 on Riparia Gloire rootstock with Goldridge soil. This vineyard is on a south-facing slope with 4x4 spacing giving 2,700 vines per acre. The vineyard is located in the Green Valley sub region of Russian River.

Winemaking

The east block was picked by friends and family on Sept.12th. 7 days of cold soak and 11 day ferment was just what we like. The west block (3/4 of the vineyard ) was picked Sept. 18th and finished 17 days later. Ml fermentation was finished by December and aged for 10 months in oak barrels. The wine was bottled unfiltered and was blended from the 2 lots. Structure and balance are in tune making this wine a candidate for long aging.

Winemaker's Notes

Consistently full of red fruits including plum, cherry and rhubarb. Mellow spice with red licorice, vanilla and a smooth silky texture.
