Availability: Sold out.

Our Russian River Vineyard blend consists of four different vineyards; TnT, Ruxton Horseshoe Bend & Tanuda Ridge of which are all within a five mile area close to Occidental Rd. west of Sebastopol.

The TNT 2 acre vineyard was planted in 1999 and 2000 with clones 114, 115, 667 and 777 on Riparia Gloire rootstock with Goldridge soil. This vineyard is on a south-facing slight slope in between the towns of Sebastopol & Occidental in the Green Valley sub region of Russian River.

The Ruxton Vineyard is located at the western edge of the Green Valley Appellation overlooking the Santa Rosa Plain with the Mayacama Mountains as a back drop. This east facing vineyard gets plenty of sun with it's elevation on the ridge line, usually above the fog. The Gold Ridge soil and moderate slope keep yields down and quality up. Dijon Clones 667, 777, and 115 are planted in this two acre block. The wines from this vineyard have black fruits, baking spices, and mushroom earthiness, with rich texture.

Grapes were hand picked September 24th sorted then destemmed. The must was cold soaked for seven days and then allowed to warm up and start fermentation which lasted till October 1st. We punched down three times daily until the wine was dry. Then the wine was pressed off into barrel and was allowed to go through Malolactic fermentation. It was then lightly sulphured and left on the lees stirred. The wine was carefully racked and bottled after 11 months in the barrel.

Winemaker's Notes

A bolder rendition for PMV. This is due to the weather patterns mother nature gave to us; deep red plum, red cherry & clove with anise on the nose followed up with bright acidity red and black fruit on the palate with lots of texture and finish.
